About Vietnam Airlines
Vietnam Airlines, a member of SkyTeam Alliance, operates 90 routes to 20 domestic and 29 international destinations with an average of 400 flights per day. In 2016 and 2017, it was certified as a 4-Star Airline by the prestigious Skytrax.
Vietnam Airlines' Economy Class is all about comfort, convenience and a warm, friendly service. The cabin's seats have a pitch of 31-32 inches and a recline of up to six inches.
Entertainment: Onboard, each seat has its own TV screen, allowing passengers to choose from a huge range of movies, TV shows and music on-demand, equating to hundreds of hours of entertainment. The airline's magazines, Heritage and Heritage Fashion, also offer some great information on Vietnamese culture, travel, fashion and lifestyle.
Food & drink: Most flights offer a selection of juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, beers, spirits and wines. The menu varies depending on the destination and flight times, but usually includes a blend of Asian and European cuisine.
Premium Economy with Vietnam Airlines is available on the Boeing 787 and Airbus 350. It has all of the benefits of Economy, with some special added extras, including priority boarding, larger seats and a range of premium facilities onboard. The baggage allowance is also greater than that of Economy, while the seats offer enhanced space and comfort with more legroom, recline and a pitch of 38 inches.
Entertainment: Passengers can enjoy hundreds of hours of entertainment on a 10.6-inch HD screen which, as well as the latest movies, TV shows and music, also has a selection of games.
Food & drink: The menu in Premium Economy is carefully selected and inspired by cuisine from all around the world.
Business Class offers Vietnam Airlines' highest level of service. Passengers can expect 4-star international service standards from the dedicated flight crew, and the seat offers optimal privacy and comfort, while having the option to convert to a fully flat bed. Those flying in Business will also have access to the Lotus Lounge before their flight, as well as fast-track security, priority check-in and priority baggage handling.
Entertainment: A compact and modern touch-screen entertainment system awaits in Business Class. Choose from hundreds of hours of movies, TV shows, music and games, as well as a wide choice of international magazines and newspapers.
Food & drink: The food in Business Class is inspired by traditional Vietnamese cuisine - in particular the most recognised dish: Pho. Experts in wine and cocktails have also pulled together a list of the best, most exclusive, drinks, all authentically Vietnamese and designed to inspire your trip further.
Vietnam Airlines' hand baggage allowance is 7kg per item and the total dimensions must not exceed 115cm (56x36x23cm). Economy passengers may take one piece of hand luggage, while Premium and Business passengers may carry two.
The allowance for checked baggage may vary depending on routing, class flown and frequent flyer status level. The general breakdown is as follows:
- Economy - 1 bag up to 20kg
- Premium - 1 bag up to 30kg
- Business - 1 bag up to 30kg

Check-in at home or at the airport
Web check-in is available from 40 hours until two hours prior to departure time. This service is only available for flights departing to/from selected cities in Asia. Standard check-in is available from 2.5 hours prior to departure time.
Business Lounges are available at all international stations, and are open to VIPs, Business Class passengers, Golden Lotus Plus Platinum members and Vietnam Airlines Gold members. First Class and Business Class passengers of other Skyteam airlines, as well as Elite Plus Card members, are offered this service at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat airports. Lounges feature quiet work suites, free Wi-Fi, social areas, bar service and food menu. Business Class passengers are also given access to many lounges operated by other SkyTeam airlines around the world.
Vietnam Airlines offer the Golden Lotus Plus, which gives frequent flyers special privileges and the opportunity to earn rewards. Points can be earned by flying with any SkyTeam carrier. Members of other SkyTeam airline rewards programs can earn points by flying with Vietnam Airlines. Points can be redeemed on any SkyTeam airline flight.
