Your Example Itinerary
Fly from the UK to Brisbane.
For families, Brisbane is the perfect jump off spot to start an Aussie adventure. You’ll take a gentle cruise along the Brisbane River, past towering skyscrapers to the outskirts of town to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Here you’ll have the chance to get up close to these cuddly critters and there are opportunities for hand-feeding them too. If your family are animal mad, then we can also arrange your tickets for the world-famous Australia Zoo, founded by Steve and Terri Irwin. CRIKEY!
Fly up to Cairns and hop in your private air-conditioned transfer to Trinity Beach. Here, you’ll ride one of Australia’s most unique rail journeys through dense vegetation to the remote rainforest village of Kuranda, which is packed with attractions. Then, glide metres above the forest canopy in the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for a birds-eye-view. Now you’ve found your head for heights, try jungle surfing. This typically Aussie tour has you racing through the rainforest canopy via a series of zip lines accompanied by an expert guide. You’ll want to make sure your camera is charged for this one.
Fly from Cairns to the largest inhabited island in the Whitsundays group, Hamilton Island. Find a quiet spot on a tropical beach and soak up some sunshine or hire a golf buggy and explore the island. If you like the buggy idea then try the buggy rally – a scavenger hunt-style event that gets you exploring the island by answering trivia questions. Of course, no Whitsunday experience would be complete with a catamaran cruise to Whitehaven Beach. Swirling white sands and jaw dropping turquoise waters will have you pleading with your captain to let you stay just a little while longer.
4* Reef View Hotel
Depart from Hamilton Island and return to the UK.
