Here’s What Your Amazing Holiday Could Look Like...
Begin this epic eight-night journey in Las Vegas, a hub of entertainment and larger-than-life experiences. Explore the Strip at your leisure, discover Downtown, take in the Mob Museum, and – if you’re feeling brave – gaze down across the city from the Stratosphere’s rooftop thrill rides. Next, enjoy a guided motorcoach tour of Zion National Park, home to the lofty Angel’s Landing, as you head towards Bryce Canyon. Known for its arid red landscapes and quirky hoodoos, it’s one of our favourite places to overnight. Take in landmarks like the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument, Capitol Reef National Park and Moab – famous for Arches and Canyonlands – before travelling onboard the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer train. From your seat, soak in towering mountain scenes, hear tales of the landscapes, and sample delicious local cuisine, all while chugging across the Utah-Colorado border to Glenwood Springs and Denver, your final stop.

Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon
Leaving the lights of Las Vegas behind, you are adventure bound through the breathtaking mountain panoramas of Zion National Park, with its kaleidoscopic swirling sandstone, the oh-so-long landmark Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel, the jaw-droppingly steep red cliffs of the Zion Canyon, and the unforgettable scenery of the mighty Virgin River.
Bryce Canyon to Moab
The Bryce Canyon National Park beckons, with epic viewpoints showcasing unparalleled iconic vistas, like the crimson-coloured hoodoo rock formations of the Bryce Amphitheatre. Continue eastbound from Bryce Canyon National Park along Utah’s sensational sun-drenched Scenic Highway 12, an ‘All-American Road’ with a dreamy landscape, punctuated by old abandoned Western movie sets, it’s a real feast for the eyes! Along the way you’ll travel through the phenomenal 275-million-year-old Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument, a fascinating network of slot canyons separated by a fossil-filled plateau, before arriving at the Capitol Reef National Park in the heart of red rock country.
Surrounded by a dramatic desert backdrop, spend the day exploring the city of Moab at your own pace. Escape the heat and head to the Colorado River, located just a mile or two north of Moab, for white-water rafting, tubing, kayaking, scenic boat tours and much more! Film buffs shouldn’t miss a visit to the Moab Museum of Film and Western Heritage, showcasing local productions like Thelma and Louise, Geronimo and City Slickers! Or if a cheeky wine-tasting tour sounds more up your street, then be sure to check out the Spanish Valley Vineyard & Winery, just a short hop out of town. End your day with a meal and a few drinks in one of Moab’s many downtown restaurants and microbreweries!
Moab to Glenwood Springs
After a relaxing morning, depart Moab and start your thrilling adventure onboard Rocky Mountaineer. With a drink in hand, it’s time to get ready for some serious window watching from the comfort of your own seat, as the train whistles its way through magnificent mountain scenery and across the Utah-Colorado border before reaching the resort town of Glenwood Springs, your home for the night!
Glenwood Springs to Denver
Leaving Glenwood Springs behind, you’ll embark on another day of fun onboard Rocky Mountaineer as it winds its way through deep canyons and the rushing rapids of the Colorado River. Enjoy a leisurely lunch whilst keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife – the canyons are home to a variety of animals including bears, bighorn sheep, coyotes and mountain lions, just to name a few! After crossing the Continental Divide, you’ll soon arrive in Denver, Mile High City and capital of Colorado!
Enjoy a full day exploring the city of Denver. Head off on a self-guided walking tour of downtown, taking in historic Union Station and the buzzing LoDo Historic District, where you can grab a bite to eat and a refreshing drink in one of the many rooftop cafes and brewpubs. Climb to the top of Colorado State Capital for a panoramic view of the city, discover local attractions like Denver Botanic Gardens and Red Rocks Park & Ampitheatre, and sample local hops at one of the many craft breweries – Denver is known as one of America's best beer cities after all! Don’t miss Larimer Square, known as the soul of the city, and, if you're feeling adventurous, speak to our experts about organising a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Your Journey comes to an end, check-out and fly back to the UK.
