Your adventure begins in the vibrant city of Edmonton. Both the capital of Alberta, and the farthest north of Canada's major cities, Edmonton is known for its vibrant arts scene and diverse scenery. Tomorrow you will continue on to Jasper, so if you wish to extend your time in Edmonton to explore more, speak with your travel expert who can assist with adding additional pre-trip accommodation.

From Edmonton, journey west into the heart of the Canadian Rockies and arrive in Jasper, a charming alpine town surrounded by dramatic peaks and pristine wilderness. Jasper National Park offers a quieter, more rugged experience than its southern counterpart, with endless opportunities to explore. Included with your Rocky Mountaineer package is a National Parks pass - allowing you access to the pristine National Parks throughout your trip - as well as a sightseeing tour of Jasper, and a trip up the Jasper SkyTram to enjoy the views from 7,245 feet above sea level.

This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to the Rocky Mountaineer to begin your two-day journey to Lake Louise. Travel across ranchlands, along lakeshores, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of Canada. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, Stoney Creek Bridge, the iconic Spiral Tunnels, and stunning Canadian Rockies. As you travel, enjoy breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages on board, allowing you the opportunity to admire the beautiful Canadian wilderness through the panoramic viewing windows, all while savouring a glass of wine.

Stay: 3-star Kamloops Hotel (due to the size of Kamloops, accommodation will be provided by Rocky Mountaineer based on availability. This will be of a moderate 3-star standard, and will be set in Kamloops or the surrounding area, including Sun Peaks resort)

This morning you will be transferred back to the Rocky Mountaineer for your second day on board. Today you will continue your journey East to the picturesque hamlet of Lake Louise. As you travel, enjoy breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages on board, allowing you the opportunity to admire the beautiful Canadian wilderness through the panoramic viewing windows, all while savouring a glass of wine.

The next stop on your journey leads you to Banff, with a tour of Yoho National Park on the way. With towering peaks, abundant wildlife, and crystal clear lakes, Banff is another picturesque highlight of your Canadian adventure. As you will have free time here, speak to your travel expert about adding on activities - a top recommendation would be to visit Icefields Parkway where you can spot majestic glaciers and see the stunning landscape from the Skywalk viewing deck.

Your journey towards Calgary begins with a full day sightseeing transfer around Banff, with highlights such as Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoos, as well as a visit to the Banff Gondola. On arrival into Calgary, you'll check in to your hotel for your final night, before heading back to the UK tomorrow morning.
