The best time to visit Stellenbosch comes down to your personal preference and the kind of activities you enjoy doing on holidays. The summer months (December and February) are ideal for outdoor activities, exploring the vineyards and soaking in the picturesque landscapes. If you prefer milder temperatures and slightly smaller crowds, consider the shoulder seasons of spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May). Winter in Stellenbosch (June to August), brings cooler temperatures and occasional rainfall, so best be prepared with a rain jacket and boots.

Spend a day (or days) wandering the charming streets, boutique shops and bustling cafes. Segway through wineries sipping and sampling, hit the road on a guided e-bike tour, get a bird’s eye view from a hot air balloon over the Winelands, take a hike and experience the world-class trails and nature reserves, find waterfalls, check out the museums, eat your way around Stellenbosch’s incredible farm-to-table restaurants and experimental cuisine. Then, when the sun sets, experience the lively nightlife.  Stellenbosch is a vibrant destination where culture, wine and outdoor adventures collide to deliver an unforgettable experience.
