Frequently asked questions

As you prepare for this exhilarating expedition, be sure to pack your safari essentials to make the most out of your journey into the wild. No need for designer threads here, instead, embrace the rugged and comfortable safari chic – think khaki trousers, breathable shirts, boots and a wide-brimmed hat to shield you from the fiery African sun. Be sure to check with the safari operator as there might be some specific things you need such as industrial-strength bug spray.

Grab your safari hat, there’s adventure afoot! First stop, Skukuza! This bustling hub is the park's largest rest camp, dishing up a delightful mix of wilderness and comfort. Stroll along the Sabie River and watch elephants splash around or take a guided game drive to encounter the iconic Big Five in their natural habitat. Next on the list is Satara. Set in the heart of the park, this vibrant camp is a wildlife enthusiast's playground. As the sun sets, embrace the symphony of nocturnal creatures on a thrilling night drive. Lower Sabie is an oasis of tranquillity and for a dose of history, head to the quaint village of Letaba.

When it comes to Kruger National Park, timing is everything. The best time to visit Kruger is during the dry season from May to September, when the rains have bid farewell and the park transforms into a safari paradise. That said, the park is open year-round, so if your visit happens to fall outside of this time, don’t fret, there’s still plenty of things to see and do.

Buckle up and pile into a 4x4 on a quest to spot the Big Five, go birdwatching, stargaze, visit the museum and learn about rock sites, watch the sunset and toast to this incredible, life-altering experience. Let the adventure begin!
