Koh Samui Holidays
Miles of dazzling beaches, azure seas, swaying palms, crimson-streaked sunsets and warm ocean breezes… Koh Samui is all laid-back beach vibes and palm-fringed sands. Thailand’s second largest island, this vibrant destination has more beaches than any other in the country. The longest, Chaweng Beach, stretches almost four miles. Flanked by green hills and coconut trees, it has a reputation as the most beautiful beach in Koh Samui. Other attractions in Koh Samui include the Big Buddha Temple, featuring a 12-metre golden Buddha statue, and Ang Thong National Marine Park featuring a pristine, coral-clad archipelago of 21 islands, best explored by speedboat and snorkel.

When to Go to Koh Samui
Koh Samui’s weather is split into three seasons; the dry season from January to March, the hot season from April to September, and the rainy season from October to December. In general, Koh Samui experiences less rain that the rest of Thailand, so it’s an ideal year-round destination. For the best conditions, late December to March are when you can enjoy warm sunny days. As a result, this is also Koh Samui’s busiest season, especially during New Year’s celebrations. October and November are Koh Samui’s wettest months, although visiting in this season means cheaper prices and less chance of sunburn.
Getting Around Koh Samui
When the mood strikes and you want to explore beyond your beachside resort, there are a number of ways to get around Koh Samui and see the sights. The most common and cheapest way to get around is via Songthaews, open-air trucks which acts similarly to a local public bus system. There are no official Songthawe stops, instead you can simply flag one down anywhere, and you ring the bell when you want to get off. The other main alternative is taxis or bike rentals.
