The Kathmandu Valley packs a punch when it comes to world heritage sites. For a spiritual tour, check out Boundhanath and Swayambhu Maha Chaitya Buddhist stupas and the Hindu temple Pashupatinath.

Comfortable walking shoes is essential, particularly if you’re stopping by en route to the Himalayas. When packing clothing, be mindful that you may be visiting temples and dress conservatively.
