October to December is an excellent time to visit, but it does get very chilly in the mountains. June to September bring rain, so you may wish to avoid travel during this time.


Do you like hiking? Well then you’ve come to the right place! Home to the Himalayas, Nepal has some of the most scenic treks in the world. Aside from hiking, you will discover a wide range of activities, from adventure sports to safaris.


You will need at least eight to 10 days to visit Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. Add in any days you plan to spend trekking, and allow a few days at the end to relax and recuperate afterwards.


If you are planning on trekking the Himalayas, good hiking boots are essential. You’ll be living in them, so make sure they are comfortable. It’s also a good idea to see your doctor before leaving for Nepal to get advice about altitude safety.
