It depends on what you want out of your time in Penang. George Town is close to where the action is. If you would prefer to stay near the beach go for Batu Ferringhi or Tanjung Bungah.

November to January are usually the best months to travel in to enjoy cracking weather, but Penang enjoys tropical weather all year round. 

Spend your days lying in the sun on the beaches of Bati Ferringhi or Tanjung Bungah, wander the quaint colonial George Town, take the funicular railway to the top of Penang Hill, and check out Malaysia’s largest Buddhist temple, Kek Lok Si Temple.
