Frequently asked questions

Mexico City is a vibrant metropolis full of culture, but if you're looking for a lively area to stay and play, look no further than Condesa, Zona Rosa and Centro Historico. Bursting with trendy bars, restaurants, and cafes, it's the perfect spot to experience the city's buzzing nightlife.

Pack your sunscreen and dancing shoes for a trip to Mexico City! From exploring ancient ruins to sampling the (spicy) local street food, this vibrant destination is bursting with adventure. Hot tip, clean water can be hard to come by so if you’re keen to avoid single-use plastics, consider investing in a portable filter for your refillable water bottle.

Mexico City is a thriving metropolis bursting with amazing things to see, do and devour. Add the awe-inspiring Palacio de Bellas Artes (or Palace of Fine Arts) to your list, right alongside rolling out a rug in Chapultepec Park and wandering around the main square of Plaza del Zócalo. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a daytrip out to Teotihuacan to go hot-air ballooning over the ancient ruins (if you’re not feeling quite that adventurous, you can still explore the ruins on foot). Hiring a gondola and cruising the Floating Gardens of Xochimilco is another must for visitors.

The trendy and vibrant neighbourhoods of Condesa, Roma Norte, Zona Rosa and Centro Historico boast plenty of boutique shops, art galleries, delicious restaurants, and are generally considered safe and welcoming for visitors. Best to do your research before booking and heed the warnings on which areas to avoid. Maybe skip Tepito, Doctores and Iztapalapa.

Ready for a fiesta? The best time to visit Mexico City is between March and May, when the city is filled to the brim with colourful festivals and blooming jacarandas. That said, there’s really no bad time of year to visit Mexico.

What isn’t there to do in Mexico City?! Ciudad de Mexico (or CDMX) is one of the world’s largest cosmopolitan cities so you never have to look too hard for something to do! Quite the opposite, in fact, and visitors will have a hard time trying to narrow down the list. Here’s some ways to fill your days, take a food tour, from street food to fancy fine dining, Mexico City has it all. Go museum hopping, hit the art galleries, browse the boutique shops, do some sightseeing, experience the Floating Gardens of  Xochimilco, take a daytrip out to Teotihuacan, take a leisurely stroll around The Frida Kahlo Museum, the list is endless!
