It depends, how many shrines can you see in a day? Generally, it is recommended to spend at least three to four days in Kyoto to be able to visit the main attractions and have some time to explore the city.

Many travellers are drawn to the Gion district for its traditional geisha culture and majestic cherry blossom views in the spring. The Arashiyama area is also popular as it offers a tranquil and natural setting with soaring bamboo forests and temples.

To fully enjoy your holiday in Kyoto, be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes, a camera or phone to capture all the beautiful sights, and a small bag or backpack to carry souvenirs and/or snacks.
