Coronavirus Travel Update – Can I Go on Holiday to Portugal?

As British officials undergo “air bridge” talks with Portugal and borders get set to reopen on 1 July, we can’t help but get excited about holidays to Portugal this summer – and beyond. Indeed, with almost year-round sunshine, Madeira is one of the best holiday choices in Europe. To find out the best holiday options to suit you, chat to one of our lovely Travel Consultants on 0208 127 4273 or check out some more inspiration below.

Castles, cities and cerulean waters; it is easy to see why Portugal remains one of our most popular holiday destinations. From the incredible castles and cobblestone streets of capital city Lisbon, to the coastal region of Porto, and all of the delicious food in between, your journey through Portugal will reveal some of Europe’s most spectacular buildings, beaches and cuisine. In the south, white sandy beaches, glittering warm waters and year-round sunshine make the Algarve a dream holiday. Portugal’s southernmost region promises hidden coves, crescent-shaped bays, cobbled streets and rocky inlets – not to mention some of the best surf in Europe.

When to Go to Portugal

Portugal is a truly sunny country, particularly at the height of summer, between June and September. It really is a sunseeker’s paradise. For a bit of relent from the UV rays, the shoulder seasons – spring and autumn – offer more manageable temperatures, fewer crowds and, often, better details.

Getting There

Flight time: London to Lisbon flight time is around 2 hours 40 minutes.
