Adelaide Holidays

River Torrens, Adelaide

The charming city of Adelaide can feel more like a large town, such is the friendly ambience that resonates from the city. Style, culture and quality are three things the city has in spades. With hundreds of wineries located in the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale (all within an hour's drive), the city enjoys unprecedented access to the highest quality South Australian produce, meaning you are sure to eat well in Adelaide. Visit in March to attend the lauded Adelaide Fringe Festival, the second largest of its kind in the world. Catch the tram to the beachside suburb of Glenelg, take a quiet stroll through the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and later peruse the many restaurants, bars and cafés along the popular ‘eat street’ of Gouger Street.

In the winter months of June to August, temperatures can drop to around 8°C. Don’t let this deter you though; winter is the best time for wildlife spotting in the regions nearby Adelaide.
