Every holiday starts with a flight and there are plenty of options for you to consider when you travel to the USA. The most popular choice is to complement a United States holiday with some time in Frankfurt, Paris, or Amsterdam.

Frankfurt

What airlines fly to the USA via Frankfurt: Lufthansa

Known as 'Mainhattan', Frankfurt is a powerful business and finance hub that is home to the European Central Bank. Located on the River Main, Frankfurt is one of the world's largest stock exchanges, is known for its futuristic skyline, and is the German transportation centre.

Following the destruction in World War II, the city rebuilt and turned into the modern metropolis that it is today. Often referred to as one of the world's most liveable cities, Frankfurt has a youthful atmosphere with colorful cafés and vibrant nightlife that is worth experiencing.

Paris

What airlines fly to the USA via Paris:

The City of Lights makes for a perfect stopover location by offerering many opportunities to appreciate the beauty of one of the world's most romantic cities.

Take a guided tour of Paris to travel through the Champs-Élysées from the Arc de Triomphe, to Place de la Concorde then through Jardin des Tuileries to the Musée du Louvre, a former palace and now Paris's most famous museum. Of course, you cannot forget to climb the infamous Eiffel Tower to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

Amsterdam

What airlines fly to the USA via Amsterdam:  KLM

Originally a 13th century fishing village, Amsterdam today is a picturesque city with exquisite nightlife. The "Venice of the North" is a city of tolerance and diversity that holds all the advantages of a big city, but still remains quaint and quiet feel.

Take a cruise the Golden Age canals, bike through the city like a true Amsterdammer, and visit the Anne Frank House to have one of the most moving experiences that travellers can have. Be sure to check out some of the famous Dutch artists at the Vincent Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, and Stedelijk museum.
