What do I need to board the ship?

A valid passport (with at least six months' validity from the date of your return) and a SetSail Pass. Don’t forget your carry-on bag with any valuables and medications for your trip.

Is there a 24-hour room service?

Yes, 24-hour room service is available, and the friendly stateroom attendants are on-hand daily to assist with anything you require.

Is there a nightly turn-down service?

Yes, there is a nightly turn-down service.

Can I bring a baby onboard?

Absolutely, please let us know and Royal Caribbean will be able to provide a cot and supplies.

Are there any interconnected rooms onboard?

Selected staterooms can be connected to accommodate for larger families and groups travelling together.

Are Royal Caribbean ships accessible for those with special needs?

Royal Caribbean ships are equipped to accommodate everybody.

What if I have special dietary requirements?

If you have specific dietary needs, please let us know at least 90 days in advance of your trip so we can inform Royal Caribbean and ensure these are accommodated.

Are tips included?

Tips are automatically added onto each guest’s SeaPass account on a daily basis. The automatic service gratuity is US$14.50 per person per day for guests in Junior Suites and below, or US$17.50 per person, per day, for guests in Grand Suites and above.

What is the dress code?

This will vary from venue to venue (please keep swimwear to the Pool Deck!) however you can expect to see the following dress codes when onboard Royal Caribbean ships: 

  • Casual attire including jeans, shorts, polos, sundresses are welcomed for breakfast and lunch
  • Smart casual, including collared shirts and dresses, dress to impress, for standard dinners
  • Formal wear is your best black-tie look, there can be 1-3 formal nights during a cruise
Is smoking allowed onboard?

Royal Caribbean ships are non-smoking in all areas apart from designated outdoor spaces.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, you must have the appropriate travel insurance with medical cover in place to cover your entire holiday. Please ensure your insurance covers any pre-existing medical conditions.

Are there medical staff onboard the ship?

There is a minimum of one licensed doctor and two licensed nurses onboard every ship. 

What activities are available for children and teens cruising with Royal Caribbean?

Onboard, Royal Caribbean's 'Adventure Ocean Youth Program' offers adventure (and education) for kids aged 3-17 years with different activities and programmes for different age groups.

What COVID measures can I expect onboard?
  • All guests aged 12 years and up must be fully vaccinated. Booster doses, though not required, are strongly recommended once you are eligible.
  • All crew onboard our ships are fully vaccinated, and boosted once eligible.
  • All guests aged two years and above must take a COVID-19 test before sailing.
  • All crew are tested regularly as per CDC guidelines.
  • Masks/face coverings onboard are optional for all fully vaccinated guests.
  • Unvaccinated children are required to wear a mask indoors and in crowded settings. Masks are required for all children while at the Adventure Ocean Youth Program.
  • Guests under two years old do not have to wear a mask at any time.
