Small enough to feel like home, yet with all the amenities you need for a brilliant break, Away Bali Legian Camakila is just steps from the beach – with Seminyak’s shops and restaurants a little further beyond. Families are welcome, but there's no kids’ club and the resort is more of a secluded retreat than busy beach club – so our Travel Consultants recommend it for couples and groups of friends. You’re in one of Bali’s top spots for surfing, and there are plenty of great sights nearby – from live music and local dancing in Kuta town, to the island temple of Tanah Lot. Craving some R&R instead? You can spend your days lazing by the resort’s two swimming pools (Tao Pool is our favourite, with its soothing sea views), or head to the fabulous Salila Spa where Balinese massages and refreshing facials await. Deluxe Garden Terrace Room
Set on the ground floor, these rooms open out onto your semi-private patio – with the garden just beyond. There are lots of thoughtful little extras to make you feel at home, such as bathrobes, Wi-Fi, and a surround-sound entertainment system.
Deluxe Pool Side Room
Right on the edge of the swimming pool, these luxurious lodgings feature deluxe sunloungers and a semi-private terrace – so a refreshing dip is never more than a few steps away. Inside, you’ll find a kingsize bed and marble bathroom.
Daladala Suite
Travelling with family? This suite is for you. With its kitchen, master bedroom and separate living area, there’s oodles of space to stretch out in – and interconnecting rooms can be arranged if required. The private balcony offers views of the entire resort.
Camakila Suite
Overlooking the beach and Tao Beach House bar, these huge suites feature a spacious living room, separate master bedroom, and marble bathroom designed for two. While there’s also a kitchen, we wouldn’t blame you for ordering a room service supper straight to your private sea-view balcony. Bliss.

From your morning coffee to a romantic late supper, Azaa serves a tantalising mix of Balinese and International cuisine beside the pool. The breakfast buffets are fresh and fabulous: a feast of tropical fruit, smoothies, pastries and cooked specialities. For lunch and dinner, the menu is à la carte: its highlights include locally-caught seafood, spicy curries and premium steaks. For pre-dinner drinks, Tao Beach House is your spot – serving beers, wines and cocktails galore.
