Seoul Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, each with extensive check-in facilities. It’s always a good idea to arrive at the airport nice and early for your flight, and to confirm check-in times directly with your airline as each may have different requirements. As a general guide, aim for at least three hours before international flights. Most airline counters open around three hours before departure and close approximately one hour before. Remember, it’s often possible to check in online in advance via your airline’s website or app, which can be a great way to save time at the airport on the day of travel.
Baggage allowances vary by airline and ticket class, so it’s important to confirm what’s included with your flight booking to avoid any surprises at bag drop! For more specific information on baggage limits, such as the size, weight and number of bags included in your airfare, check with your airline or ask your Travel Expert for assistance. Need to store your bags at Seoul Airport? Short-term luggage storage and wrapping services are available in both terminals around the clock, so you can explore the airport’s cultural exhibits unencumbered.
There are a range of facilities available at Seoul Airport for your convenience and use before or after your flight.

The AREX express train is the fastest way to reach central Seoul, running non-stop from Terminal 1 to Seoul Station in around 43 minutes. A slower all-stop commuter service is also available. Both offer free Wi-Fi on board.
Taxis queue outside the arrivals area at both terminals. Fares are metered, with highway tolls added to the total. Official taxi booths inside the arrivals hall accept credit cards and allow pre-payment for added convenience.
Car rental agencies, including Hertz, Avis and Lotte Rent-a-Car, have desks in the arrivals lobby. Talk to your Travel Expert about organising car hire for your trip or book it yourself online before you leave.
Numerous airport limousine buses serve major districts of Seoul and surrounding cities, operating from approximately 05:00 to 01:00. Routes cover popular areas including Gangnam, Myeongdong, Hongdae and many more.
Short-term and long-term parking is available beneath each terminal at Seoul Airport. Long-term parking lots offer lower rates, and the airport’s website has a parking reservation system.
