Public Transport

The MyCiti shuttle service runs between the Civic Centre in Central Cape Town to Cape Town International Airport. Journey times vary from 20 to 55 minutes depending on the time of day and traffic conditions.

Car Hire

Car hire desks are located in front of the Transport Plaza and Central Terminal building which can be accessed via two pedestrian subways. The car hire companies available include Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Tempest, Woodfood, Thrifty, Capital O and Sixt. Talk to your consultant about booking car hire in advance.

Check-in

Check-in zones are located on the check-in and departures level of the central terminal building.

Money Exchange

Money exchange facilities and cash machines can be found in the departures lounge of the international and domestic terminal, as well as the international arrivals lounge. 

Business Services

Business facilities can be found within the airport's various lounges (access conditions apply). Cape Town Airport also has a Conference Centre located in the Southern Office Block alongside Terminal 5.

Internet Access

Wi-Fi is available throughout the international and domestic terminals for a fee.

Family Facilities

Baby changing facilities and amenities for young children are available in most of the ladies restrooms, located before and after security.

Baggage

Cape Town Airport has a left baggage facility operated by Bagport located on the ground floor of Parkade 2.

Airport Lounges

South African Airways - South African Airways has one domestic and one international lounge located within Cape Town Airport. The airline's international lounge is separated into 2 sections, one for First Class passengers and the other for Business passengers. Inside the Business Class area, guests can access Wi-Fi internet as well as broadband internet from PC terminals. Also on offer are showers, as well as complimentary food and beverages. Within the First Class lounge, passengers are treated to premium services including complimentary food and beverages, luxurious showers, sleep rooms, entertainment rooms and private boardrooms.

British Airways - British Airways First Class, Business Class and Club World passengers are free to enjoy the Galleries Club Lounge with locations in the domestic and international terminals. Take a seat to watch the TV or read the daily newspaper and enjoy a range of complimentary food and beverages including snacks, wine, beer and spirits. Free Wi-Fi is also available.
