You’re about to jet off on your dream holiday; a little slice of well-deserved ‘you’ time in paradise. All that stands between you and your destination is that lengthy 11-hour flight…

Although flying Economy long haul is typically a lot more comfortable than flying short haul, it’s well worth paying a few extra pennies for the upgrade to Premium Economy for added levels of comfort. More affordable than First Class and Business, but definitely a more comfortable and enjoyable experience than Economy, it’d be rude not to treat yourself.

That’s why we’re super excited to announce that, come November, our friends at Delta Air Lines will be bringing a brand-new Premium Economy experience to customers flying London Heathrow to Atlanta, Boston and New York (JFK) onboard its retrofitted Boeing 767-400 aircraft. ‘Delta Premium Select’ is full of thoughtful little perks, so you can just sit back, relax, and arrive refreshed and ready for your holiday.

Here, we take a look at some of the benefits of flying in the Delta Premium Select cabin:

Extra Space

They say size doesn’t matter, but, for a long flight, those extra few inches of space can make a real difference. In the cabin, you’ll find extra comfy, 19-inch wide seats with up to 38-inch pitch and up to seven blissful inches of recline – complete with fully adjustable leg and footrests. With all that extra room, you’ve got more than a fighting chance at getting some shut eye on the flight, and not playing an accidental game of footsie with the passenger in front...

Fine Dining

Plane food has a notoriously bad reputation. But fear not, with Delta Premium Select, you’ll experience delicious fine dining, with its specially created menu of international flavours, all served on beautiful Alessi-designed tableware.

Added Amenities

On the flight, you’ll be given a handy little TUMI amenity kit filled with travel essentials like moisturiser, toothbrush and toothpaste and an eyeshade, provided by luxury beauty brand MALIN+GOETZ.

What’s more, you’ll also experience the quality that comes with the high resolution, 13.3-inch seat-back screen, so you can binge watch all the latest movies, TV shows and music, complete with LSTN for Delta noise-reducing headphones.

Excellent Carry-on Storage

In the Delta Premium Select cabin there’ll be no fighting to find a spot for your carry-on case, as you’re allocated dedicated overhead storage with plenty of room for all your bags, eliminating any stress there.

Smooth Boarding Process

With Delta Premium Select, you can forget queuing for what feels like hours. Instead, you’ll simply glide through check in with Sky Priority®, allowing you to use the extra time in the airport however you like. Pre-flight prosecco? Yes, please. There are also dedicated security lanes to get you through that little bit quicker, as well as expedited baggage handling.
