Kathmandu
Discover the vibrant city of Kathmandu today, starting with a visit to Bodhnath Stupa, one of the most sacred Tibetan Buddhist sites outside of Tibet. Explore the wood-carved temples, pagodas, and palaces of Bhaktapur, a charming medieval capital. Then, visit the Sisterhood of Survivors Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting female survivors of human trafficking. Meet a successful paralegal trainee and learn to make momos, traditional Nepalese dumplings, with women enrolled in the project's hospitality program. Savor your creations for lunch and gain insight into the local culture and community.

Kathmandu/Pharping
Explore the ancient hilltop temple of Swayambhunath, adorned with colorful prayer flags and inhabited by rhesus monkeys. Learn about the Himalayan Indigenous Society and National Geographic Grantee Chhing Lhomi's efforts to preserve the weaving traditions of the Upper Mustang region. Next, head to Pharping, a nearby town known for its sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Check into a serene monastery guesthouse, where you can immerse yourself in monastery life and attend a chanting and prayer service. Alternatively, take a peaceful walk around the monastery's grounds. Relax in your comfortable guest room, complete with a private western-style bathroom and balcony, and feel good knowing that your stay helps support the monastery's residents.

Pharping/Kurintar
Start your day early with a breathtaking sunrise and listen to the soothing chants of the local monks. Next, take a scenic drive to Kurintar, a charming riverside village, and hike to our cozy lodge perched on a forested hill with stunning views of the Trishuli River. Unwind by the pool or opt for a guided walk through the nearby countryside, stopping at local villages to immerse yourself in the local culture.
Upon arrival at our remote lodge, you'll find yourself surrounded by picturesque hills and sandy beaches. The forests that blanket the hillsides give way to tiny settlements of indigenous tribal people, adding to the tranquil ambiance of the area.

Days 6-7
Pharping/Royal Chitwan National Park
Embark on an exciting journey towards the Royal Chitwan National Park, Nepal's oldest and UNESCO-listed wildlife reserve. Marvel at the park's diverse array of fauna, including the one-horned rhino and Bengal tiger among its 68 recorded mammal species, as well as hundreds of bird species. Check into the lodge, located on the East Rapti River's banks, and enjoy lunch before boarding a traditional flat-bottomed boat for a river safari. Keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles, aquatic birds, and other riverine creatures. Activities will be tailored to the season and may include a jeep safari through the grasslands and forests, with the chance to spot rhinos, leopards, elephants, monkeys, and even the elusive Bengal tiger.

Royal Chitwan National Park/Pokhara
Explore the enchanting town of Pokhara, situated on the banks of the serene Phewa Lake and surrounded by the breathtaking Himalayan peaks. Take a guided walk around the city to discover its hidden gems, and then treat yourself to a delightful meal at one of the popular local restaurants. With its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, Pokhara is a must-visit destination in Nepal.

Pokhara
Embark on an early morning hike to the stunning Sarangkot lookout, located in the charming village of Sarangkot. Watch in awe as the sun rises over the majestic Annapurna Himalayas, offering a breathtaking view. Return to Pokhara and embark on a beautiful forest path that leads to the serene white Peace Pagoda. Built by Japanese monks after World War II, the pagoda offers a peaceful and reflective experience. Next, visit the Tibetan refugee settlement established by the United Nations in 1964. Take a stroll through the community's photo gallery and learn about their history before indulging in a traditional Tibetan lunch. In your free time, consider paragliding or taking a boat tour of Phewa Lake.

Pokhara/Kathmandu
Return to the capital city, Kathmandu, by flight. Take a leisurely stroll through the bustling streets of Thamel, the popular tourist hub of the city, and explore the colorful shops and cafes that line its narrow alleys. Alternatively, visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu shrine that draws devotees from all over the world. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to explore the city's iconic landmarks, such as the Swayambhunath stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, or witness the traditional Hindu funeral rituals at the burning ghats near the temple complex. With so much to see and experience, Kathmandu is a city that never fails to captivate and enchant its visitors.
