Sydney Airport

Sydney Airport (SYD) is Australia's main international entry point and is the busiest airport in the country. Located just over 5 miles from the city centre, the airport features an international terminal, domestic terminal and a terminal dedicated to Qantas.

Useful Information

British passport holders will need a visa in order to enter Australia. There are two kinds of visas available: an eVisitor visa, for which there is no charge, and an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) from your travel agent or airline, for which there’s a service fee of A$20. eVisitor visas are available from the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection or from the Australian High Commission in London. For travel on non-British passports or for more information, please ask your consultant.

Sydney is undeniably Australia's most famous and most visited city, and for good reason. The picture-perfect combination of modern city and beautiful beaches has done so much to promote the city, making it one of the most sought after long haul destinations in the world, attracting thousands of visitors every year. With a seemingly endless collection of must-see attractions, Sydney city is not only a short drive from the famous Bondi Beach but also boasts some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment Australia has to offer.

Sydney: HarbourSydney's Famous Harbour

Many visitors to Sydney go primarily to experience the famous beaches and picturesque Sydney Harbour. Exploring this iconic precinct will uncover the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Luna Park, the Sydney Aquarium and the Australian National Maritime Museum, just to name a few. Also on the harbour is the city's famed Taronga Park Zoo, a perfect place to not only see Australia's weird and wonderful local wildlife but also for the veiws of Sydney and it's glorious harbour.

Food lovers will appreciate the diverse array of cuisines on offer throughout Sydney. Soak up the tantalizing tastes and aromas of authentic Thai and Vietnamese eateries, or put on your Sunday best and visit one of the many world-class fine dining restaurants dotted around the city. For a meal with a view, book a table at Quay and take in the sights of the harbour while you dine.

Sydney: MonorailMonorail

Outside the city, the Blue Mountains are a must for anyone who is wanting to see Australia's diverse hinterland. An amazing natural beauty, the name derives from the fabulous array of colours (primarily blues) which form amongst the canopy of the trees at certain times of day. The popular area is located only 2 hours drive from the city and offers a great opportunity to experience the country's bushland just a short distance from Sydney. Our consultants can arrange car hire for you as well as accommodation at the Blue Mountains themselves if you wish to stay the night.
