Stopover in Singapore

Show me...

Fun, modern, culturally-diverse and halfway to Australia, Singapore offers all the perfect elements for a stopover holiday. To book your stopover to Singapore, call landline: 0808 260 9948 or mobile: . And if you're still in need of some inspiration, here’s why you should consider a stopover in the ‘Lion City’:

You’ll get a break

Going on a long-haul holiday is always an incredibly exciting prospect, but for some travellers the thought of that Australasia flight can be a deal breaker. If that’s you, you needn’t put off all your exotic trips just because you don’t want to be restless in the air for 24 hours. Opt for a stopover in Singapore, and you’ll break up that lengthy journey you’ve been dreading, while simultaneously enhancing your holiday. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines all fly direct to Singapore en route to Australia. And don’t just stop off in the airport for a few hours, stretch your legs and spend a few days exploring this cultural gem of a city.

There’s loads to do...

From temples to shopping to eating, there is so much to see and do in Singapore. Most of it isn’t reliant on the weather either, which is a good thing, as the Lion City’s tropical location can mean showers every now and then. Adults can slurp Singapore Slings before taking a dip in their hotel pool, while families can keep the whole tribe entertained at theme parks like Universal Studios. Getting around is pretty easy

Singapore is a fairly compact city and, if you’re not in the mood for walking or cycling, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is straightforward to navigate. It goes underground and overground, gets you around quickly, and fares are no more than SG$2pp (£1.12). If the attraction you’re heading to is inaccessible by MRT, or you just want to travel in comfort, the taxis here are safe, reliable, metered and, most importantly, air conditioned.

It’s home to the biggest infinity pool in the world

Attention water babies! Stay at the delightful Marina Bay Sands hotel and you’ll not only have a beautiful guestroom, abundant shops, and a huge selection of restaurants to enjoy, but there’s the SkyPark too. This is where the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool resides – boasting uninterrupted views across the cityscape ahead. It’s exclusively for guests though, so you’ll need to stay here if you want to do a lap.

You can catch an F1 race

This island city-state is renowned for its Grand Prix track. Time your visit well, and you could coincide it with a World Championship race – speak to one of our Travel Experts to discuss your options.
