Top 10 Things to Do in Fiji
Heading for Fiji? There's so much to this South Pacific gem than just beaches and overwater bungalows. Discover what we're talking about with our guide to the top 10 things to do in Fiji:

Navua River
Raft down Viti Levu’s Upper Navua River Gorge, through waterfalls and under dangling vines. Known as the ‘tropical Grand Canyon’, it passes through lush rainforest and traditional villages, its walls reaching up to 40 metres high.

Cloudbreak
Catch the best breaks at this surf spot just off Tavarua Island. Be bold – the waves are big.

Flavours of Fiji Cooking School
In Viti Levu’s Denarau Island, visitors can learn to prepare fresh Fijian dishes such as kokoda – raw fish marinated in lemon or lime and dressed with coconut cream – and lovo, a traditional feast in which fish, chicken, pork and vegetables are wrapped in banana leaves and slow-cooked for hours in an earth oven.

Mount Tomanivi
Climb Viti Levu’s 1,324 metre extinct volcano, Fiji’s highest peak.

Yasawa Islands
Discover the natural beauty of the Yasawas, home to some of the most scenic spots and luxury hideaways in Fiji. Some of the islands are less developed than the more touristy Mamanuca chain, making them great for backpackers too.

Sigatoka
Explore the massive sand dunes near this town on Viti Levu’s southern coast, as well as archaeological sites such as the 18th-century Tavuni Hill Fort.

Tivua Island Day Cruise
Relax on board as you set sail to Tivua Island: get a taste of Fijian entertainment, tuck into a barbecue, and take to the water to try snorkelling and kayaking.

Great Astrolabe Reef
Fiji’s reefs offer some stunning diving and are very accessible for beginners. Take a PADI course here and soon you’ll be down among the teeming marine life, from manta rays to turtles. This spectacular reef is just off Kadavu, one of Fiji’s last few undeveloped islands.

Sleeping Giant Zip Line
Experience the thrill of gliding through a tropical adventure park at the base of Fiji’s Sleeping Giant Mountain. With 10 ‘mild to wild’ zip lines, the course caters to the whole family.

Kula Eco Park
Get up close to Fijian wildlife at this beautiful 12-acre coastal rainforest park, where you can wander through exotic habitats to admire birds, reptiles, bats, sea turtles and marine displays.
