The 6 Best Fashion Trucks in the States
Move over food trucks, it’s fashion’s turn to muscle in on the mobile trend. Moving boutiques selling handmade, vintage and designer clothes and accessories have popped up across the US. We highlight some of the best fashion trucks to make a beeline for on your next visit to the States.

Selvedge Dry Goods, Los Angeles
With a big nod to ethical fashion, Selvedge Dry Goods serves up a mix of vintage, locally made, fair trade, and eco-friendly products from its turquoise truck. Head here if you’re looking for sustainable fashion, like handmade leather wallets embossed with floral designs and high waisted dip dye shorts. If you or a mate are getting hitched soon, you might even discover a cool bridal headpiece in the truck, which is based in LA.
Closet Space, Seattle
If you find yourself in Seattle, it’s worth scouting out Closet Space, a travelling closet on wheels. Find the truck and you’ll often be greeted with a rail of sale goods and a couple of chairs to have a chinwag with the owner. The doors are flung open wide with mannequins hanging off them, and inside you’ll find cute dresses to long-sleeved sweaters; the focus is on cool, affordable womenswear.

Styleliner, New York
Pop on board this former potato truck and you’ll be greeted with a gypsy-like collection of cool bohemian rings, scarves and dresses, sourced from destinations as varied as London, LA, Athens and Mumbai. Think luxury accessories with a twist. Styliner Owner Joey Wolffer also sells her line of handbags from the truck, which lies in the Meatpacking and Flatiron districts in New York but also pops up in places like the Hamptons and South Florida.
Nomad, New York
You’ll find mobile boutique Nomad wandering the streets of New York, with owner Jessie Goldenberg showcasing her handpicked selection of funky and boho clothing and jewellery from locations such as Soho, Williamsburg and the Flatiron district. On board the 120 sq ft truck, you’ll find an eclectic mix from velvet party pants and chunky scarves to cool bracelets and gypsy cardigans.

Le Fashion Truck, Los Angeles
Run by two friends, Le Fashion Truck sells everything from handmade jewellery, handbags and accessories on its powder pink truck. You can find a unique keyhole pendant from designer Janesko and swimwear by OFabz Swimwear to handbags by Costella Handbags. The duo move around LA but also hitch up at The Valley and Santa Monica. Like all the trucks, it’s worth keeping an eye on their Twitter and Facebook feeds to find out where they’re going to be when you’re in town.
Trunk, Nashville
Run by a celebrity stylist, Trunk serves up, as you would expect, a carefully curated collection of fashion that mirrors owner Abby Franklin’s own cool style. From the 1986 renovated Snap-On tools truck, the roving boutique stocks a mix of hats, ties and printed T-shirts.
