Making Tracks in Australia

At Flight Centre we pride ourselves on knowing Australia, 1 in 12 people who visit Australia book with Flight Centre UK. Most of our staff are Aussie Specialists, having completed the Aussie Specialist Training Program designed and certified by Tourism Australia. Many have also travelled extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Tourism Australia are encouraging tourists to get to know Australia from an unusual angle - through the medium of music. Making Tracks follows four members of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra and four contemporary Australian artists as they travel the country making tracks to reflect the diverse landscape.

How would you represent the beautiful beaches of Sydney and Western Australia through song? That was the task of Luke, a folk singer from Australia, and Des, a cellist from London. Episode 1 features the guys attemtping to surf on Bondi Beach, climbing the maginificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and holding their instruments over their heads as they wade through the waters of Manly Beach. Check out their adventures and the song the trip inspired here.

To see what the other musicians get up to and consequently produce in Oz visit the Making Tracks website.
