The Big Aussie Reunion: Your Stories so Far
Have you entered The Big Aussie Reunion yet?
Until the end of October, you can enter to win a reunion with a loved one in Australia - there are 10 chances to win, and the prize is huge - it includes return flights to Queensland for you and a friend (plus, your Aussie friend or relative will be flown to the Gold Coast to meet you), a huge event on Australia Day and loads more.
We've loved reading through your entries so far. Some have made us laugh, others have made us cry, but they've all been so heart-warming that we know our judging panel will have a difficult time choosing just 10. We've selected a few entries to share with you today - but the next part is up to you - share your own story here and be entered to win The Big Aussie Reunion!
Note: inclusion of these entries in this blog post is not an indication of their likelihood to be shortlisted for the prize.
I'm very close to my brother and miss him so much! He makes me laugh and we love to hang out together. He has been in Australia for 3 years now and I would love to have the opportunity to see where he lives and experience his new life with him. I'm not in a position to be able to afford to visit him anytime soon and this saddens me. Life is short and we never know what's around the corner. Having an opportunity to visit him would mean the world to both of us :) - Suzanne Doheny
I miss my darling granddaughter so very much. She is 2 in a few weeks time and when I see her on skype she gets bigger every day. I want to give a cuddle so much, it breaks my heart. I miss my son and my daughter in law too. Money is so tight, I don't know when I will see them again. - Lynn Morris
Bharti and I became good friends when we worked together back in the early 90's - She emigrated to Australia with her husband and it would be great to catch up with her again. Besides....as a holistic therapist, she gives great massages and I could sure use one! - Jill Manning
Its been nearly a year and a half since I've seen my mum and we are very close. Australia day was always something we did as a family. I couldn't imagine anything better than spending Australia day in the sun with my family. - Emily Dickinson
