Spring (or autumn) into Canada
Canada has some pretty impressive seasons. A crisp, white carpet of snow covers the mountainous and Arctic regions in winter, while the summer reveals hundreds of mirror lakes, perfect driving conditions in usually icy areas, and heaps of sunshine in the west. But did you know that it's stunning in the shoulder season too? And in March, April, September and October you can even expect fewer crowds and better deals...
Holiday in Vancouver in the spring or autumn and you’ll be rewarded with pretty blooms in Stanley Park, quieter streets Downtown and peaceful Kitsilano beaches. And while you may not be able to ski if you visit the resort town of Whistler at this time of year, you will be able to hike mountain trails, gaze over gorgeous mountain scenery, and kayak on one of the many lakes. There are few better ways to spend two or three laid-back days in British Columbia, before soaking up the rest of the state.
And speaking of, BC has plenty to offer in its lesser-known regions too, from city adventures in Kelowna, Osoyoos and Nanaimo to delicious food and wine in Thompson Okanagan and the Cowichan Valley.
Heading east? Make a beeline for Quebec, which is arrestingly beautiful in the autumn, thanks to a patchwork of fall foliage across much of the province. Want to learn more? Make an appointment to meet one of our Travel Experts in-store today.
