Flight Centre flagship store lands in the City

New flagship store on Pudding Lane is just the ticket for travellers

City businesses and their employees can bank on a new source of expert travel advice for work, rest or play with the opening of an inspirational Flight Centre flagship store.

The travel expert will celebrate its new store in Monument on Wednesday 10 September, its 87th Flight Centre store in the UK and the 29th Business Travel store to be opened. The new Monument store is situated at 2 Eastcheap on the corner with Pudding Lane, where eye-catching displays will showcase the extent of its travel expertise and range of holiday destinations on offer.

To celebrate the opening of the new store, Flight Centre will be offering £100 off selected holiday bookings made by customers before 18 October 2014.

The store is open from 8am until 8pm allowing those who are deskbound to call into the store pre or post work. City workers are invited to relax in comfortable surroundings and chat to travel experts who will take the hassle out of booking a trip, be it for business or for holiday. They can offer the best advice and the most competitive travel deals available, to save customers both time and money.

The new store will be home to 30 employees, creating seven new positions, with further expansion planned for the New Year. Flight Centre is one of The Sunday Times’ Best Companies to work for and recently gained one of this year’s Best Workplaces in the UK awards.

Alison Zacher, MD of Flight Centre Retail UK says: “Flight Centre offers a great combination of negotiation strength and expertise. We attribute our continued growth to our business model; dedicated consultants who provide personal travel services to businesses and travellers, coupled with our longstanding relationship with our airline, hotel and ground handler partners for the best deals on the market.”

Toni Vallenduuk, Monument store manager adds, “We are delighted to be opening our flagship store in the City which will allow us to further develop our relationships with local businesses. We’re here to help with all travel requests; be it a last minute booking for a conference in New York or an amazing holiday adventure in Australia. My team and I very much look forward to welcoming the Square Mile’s customers to our new store.”
