The atmospheric Tamarind Village Hotel sprawls across the grounds of an old tamarind orchard nestled in the heart of historic Chiang Mai. There are 42 picturesque guestrooms and three suites, set around a series of flower-filled courtyards.
Located on the first and second floor of the hotel, these rooms offer relaxing courtyard views and are decorated in an understated Thai style, with great attention to detail. There’s a mini bar, bathrobes, TV and air conditioning too.
Lanna Deluxe Room
A larger version of the Lanna Room, these rooms also come with a balcony or terrace where you can sit and gaze out across the flower-filled courtyard.
Featuring separate bedrooms and lounges, these rooms are a great choice for couples looking for extra space, or for families, as they sleep up to three adults and one infant. Décor includes local traditional crafts and tribal designs.
With wooden floors and a separate lounge, these rooms are a level above. Bathrooms feature marble baths with a separate bath and shower and are decorated with black and white photos and carved antique chests.
The best room in the place, the Spa Suite is accessed via a private staircase and features a large terrace with a sunbed, a marble bathroom with a separate bath and an outdoor shower as well as lovely views of the tamarind tree and an ancient temple.
