Sitting on Thesen Island in the picturesque Knysna lagoon, rooms and suites at Turbine Hotel & Spa are luxuriously appointed. Take a dip in the rim-flow pool, hop aboard a kayak and explore the lagoon, and afterwards, enjoy a snack at the Island Café Restaurant.

Standard Rooms

These rather funky rooms have brick walls and large windows, letting in plenty of natural light. Splashes of colour come from the soft furnishings, while outside is a balcony with a pretty view of the water.

Luxury Rooms

The Turbine Hotel’s six luxury rooms are all individually designed, so no two are alike. All offer plenty of space and light, with large patio doors leading onto balconies or private gardens.

Honeymoon Suite

If you’re on your honeymoon, or want a romantic stay in Knysna, then this is the room for you. Spacious and filled with cosy furnishings, this modern room is found on the hotel’s top floor, offering fabulous views. There’s also a double shower and bath.

Lagoon and Canal Suite

Set a short walk away from the main hotel, the Lagoon and Canal Suite is the ultimate in privacy. With an open-plan design it is self-contained, with a kitchen and living room and beautiful views of Knysna’s marina.

Why we recommend Turbine Hotel & Spa

Try your hand at a host of water sports at the Turbine hotel & Spa’s on-site Turbine Water Club. Set sail on a pontoon cruise, kite surf, paraglide over the spectacular landscape or go whale watching. Later, try the Island Café Restaurant, which looks out over the canal and offers an à la carte menu, or the Gastro Pub and Deck, which promises pub-style burgers and fish and chips in a relaxed setting.
