Why we recommend Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

This opulent hotel has welcomed guests for over 180 years, including the likes of Oscar Wilde and Luciano Pavarotti. It is, as you might expect, utterly sublime: all marble floors, antique furniture, and soaring frescoed ceilings. An elevator whisks guests down the cliff to the marina, where you can join tours to Capri and Ischia, or use the hotel’s own boat to explore the Bay of Naples. Our Travel Consultants recommend starting your holiday with a treatment in La Serra Spa, and booking a table at Michelin-starred Terrazza Bosquet on at least one occasion. The service here is second to none: from personal shoppers to personal tour guides, nothing is too much trouble for the resort’s excellent staff.
