Garden Villa

Travelling in a family or group? Choose one of these ground-floor villas, as they come with interconnecting options. Each one features a king size bed, modern bathroom, and views of the lush tropical gardens.

Hill Villa

Perched on a hillside overlooking the forest and sea, these romantic retreats feel fabulously far-flung. Each one has a private balcony and stylish interiors, plus a bathtub with spectacular woodland views.

Beach Villa

Just steps from Royal Bay beach and jetty, these villas have everything you need for a truly indulgent break – including an open-air bathtub, king size bed and marble bathroom.

Spa Villa

These overwater retreats offer direct access to Spa Village and its lap pool – as well as a private sun-kissed terrace. You’ll love the king size bed and deep-soak tub: they’re just the ticket after a long day exploring.

Pavarotti Suite

Named after the world-famous opera singer who fell in love with Pangkor Laut, these two-bedroom suites are set high in the hills in the rainforest. The open-air bathroom is glorious, and this is the biggest suite in the house.

There is no Kids’’ club at Pangkor Laut, but there are plenty of family-friendly things to do – such as nature walks, snorkelling, and locally-inspired craft activities. Kids’ can learn how to make Malaysian dishes and try traditional games. Interconnecting villas and babysitting services are available on request, and the restaurants all offer children’s menus – with the exception of over-16s-only Fisherman’s Cove and The Straits.

Named after a British colonel who sought refuge at Emerald Bay in 1945, Chapman's Bar sits on a white sandy beach with views of the bay: the perfect setting for light bites and cocktails. Meanwhile, chef Lim Fang Tat – also known as Uncle Lim – lends his name to the resort’s superb Asian restaurant: a glorious open-air eatery. This culinary master learnt his craft in Penang before coming to Pangkor Laut, where today his team specialises in succulent seafood, tender filet mignon, and local favourites with a haute cuisine twist.

Why we recommend Pangkor Laut Resort

Only a fraction of this private island has been developed – which puts 300 acres of two million-year-old rainforest on your doorstep, along with some utterly sublime beaches. The resort’s villas and suites are set high in the hills within tranquil gardens, or resting on stilts above the ocean. With alfresco bathtubs and private balconies in every residence, you know you’re in for a treat. There are two swimming pools to choose from, including one incredible infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Start the day with a yoga class on the beach, embark on a jungle trek with one of the resort’s expert guides, or charter a yacht to explore the surrounding islands. This piece of paradise is surrounded by secluded bays and pristine beaches – yours to discover however you wish.
