Day 1

Fly from the UK to Venice Marco Polo Airport

Days 1-2

Pieve di Soligo

The trip begins in Pieve di Soligo, a rural village surrounded by a landscape blessed with abundant vineyards and dotted with ancient castles, churches, and abbeys. Located right in the heart of the Prosecco Hills, it’s the perfect base for your adventure.

Day 2

Cison di Valmarino and Follina

A morning transfer will take you to charming Cison di Valmarino. Explore the area on foot, passing the ancient fortress of Castelbrando with its sweeping views of the fertile farmland and hamlets far below. Continue until you reach a verdant valley which houses the pretty village of Follina and in it - the mystical Cistercian Abbey of Saint Mary - founded in 1146. Within the abbey lies one of Italy’s most beautiful cloisters, so be sure to have your camera ready! Return to the hotel in the afternoon with the rest of the day free to spend at your leisure. Aperitivo time, perhaps?

Morning walk around the medieval villages of Cison di Valmarino and Follina; visit a beautiful Cistercian abbey dating back to the 12th century.

Day 3

Valdobbiadene

Spend the day roaming the idyllic terraced hills of Valdobbiadene, epicentre of the Prosecco region and home to many of Italy’s Prosecco winemakers. Ramble along twisting paths, through vineyards with breathtaking hillside vistas. Visit one of the top family owned Prosecco producers, tour their wine cellars and sample the different varieties of Prosecco on offer. Saluti!

Circular walk in the heartland of the Prosecco region; visit one of the best local producers for wine-tasting and learn about the wine-making process.

Day 4

Treviso

Discover the pretty walled town of Treviso, with its romantic canals, elegant architecture, centuries of art and maze of narrow streets. Enjoy a tour of the centre followed by a leisurely lunch of rustic Veneto cuisine in a local osteria and a portion or two of Treviso’s very own world-famous dessert: tiramisu. Leaving the walls of Treviso behind, you will reach beautiful countryside in only a few minutes. Follow the Sile, a river with the most resurgences in Europe, as it meanders peacefully through a nature reserve of forests and meadows, rich with birdlife.

Morning guided sightseeing in Treviso; afternoon walk through the Natural Park of the River Sile.

Day 5

Villa Barbaro, Monte San Giorgio and Asolo

Visit the glorious Villa Barbaro, a masterpiece of Italian architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site, surrounded by ancient vineyards. Climb up to the wooded mountain of Monte San Giorgio and head west along one of the original WWI frontlines to the elegant hilltop town of Asolo for an afternoon of sightseeing, strolling and Prosecco sipping! Take your time exploring atmospheric Asolo, ‘Pearl of the Province of Treviso’, listen to church bells ringing out over the rooftops of historic villas, and admire the charming piazzas and rose-filled gardens.

Days 6-7

Free day & Monte Cesen

After enjoying a free day, your final walk will take you high above the Prosecco Hills to humble Monte Cesen, the highest mountain in the Venetian Prealps. Take in panoramic views extending to Valdobbiadene hills and, on clear days, as far as the Dolomites and Venetian Lagoon. Explore the many hiking trails of Monte Cesen as they weave across mountain pastures, peppered with alpine huts and paragliders, all set for take-off from the grassy ridge against a backdrop of Alps, down to the valley below. In the evening, join your group for a farewell dinner in one of the best local restaurants, with sweeping vistas of the Prosecco Hills.
