Here’s What Your Amazing Holiday Could Look Like...
Get ready for a magical adventure through the winter wonderland that is the Rocky Mountains. Stop off at perennial favourites such as Banff and Jasper, and have the chance to admire the lofty peaks from the air, from a sleigh, on foot, on skis and from a dog sled. And when not out exploring, you’ll have plenty of time to soak up the cosy winter atmosphere over a hot chocolate or two.

Your Example Itinerary
Day 1
Day 2
Banff
Set off on your winter wonderland adventure through the Rocky Mountains. Call in at the Yamnuska Wolf Dog Sanctuary to learn more about these marvellous creatures, then join a thrilling helicopter ride over the Rockies, where you’ll be treated to some of the most spectacular lake and mountain views you’ll ever set eyes upon. A stop in delightful Canmore is recommended too. Here, have a go at fat biking on the snow, catch an ice hockey game or take it easy with a wander around town, before spending the night in Banff.
Sleigh ride in Banff
Day 3
Lake Louise
Continue on to the lovely Lake Louise, a ski resort and veritable winter wonderland. Get your skis on and hit the powder or, if skiing’s not for you, perhaps try tubing or ride the Lake Louise Gondola for fabulous mountain views. Alternatively, really take it easy with a soak in the Hot Springs or your hotel’s hot tub. Finish the day with a thrilling snowmobile ride through the beautiful scenery, finished off with hot chocolate and a cookie at the top of a mountain.
5* Fairmont Lake Louise
Days 4-5
Jasper
Enjoy a morning dog sled ride in Lake Louise along the Continental Divide and feel the exuberance emanating from the dogs, many of which are rescued. Later, follow the spectacular Icefields Parkway to Jasper, no doubt making copious photo stops along the way. Once in Jasper spend two days exploring the lakes, canyons and (frozen) waterfalls or, if you’d prefer to take it easy, spend some time admiring the spectacular night sky or stop for a drink in the cosy Jasper Brew Pub.
Day 6
Edmonton
Continue to Edmonton and admire the ice sculptures or try ice skating along the Victoria Park IceWay. Call in at Elk Island Provincial Park for a chance to spot bison, or come at night to stargaze – this is a designated Dark Sky Preserve after all. Before you leave, satisfy your skiing cravings at Canyon Ski Resort or perhaps shop for souvenirs at West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping centre in North America.
Days 7-8
Depart Edmonton and return to the UK.
