Your Example Itinerary
Fly from the UK to Siem Reap.
Arrive into Siem Reap and meet the rest of your group for a welcome dinner. You’ll have four days to explore the Temples of Angkor with your guide, including visits to the faces of Bayon, the Terrace of the Elephants and the much photographed Ta Prohm, which is overrun by giant tree roots. While you’re here you’ll enjoy a cruise along the moat of Angkor Thom and watch the sunset over Angkor with a cocktail in hand. You’ll also take a boat trip to Kampong Phluk and visit a local Khmer family to see how they live, and join them for a traditional meal.
4* Navutu Dreams Resort & Spa
Leaving Siem Reap behind, you’ll head for Battambang, with a stop at a market along the way. After a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll have the afternoon to explore the French colonial architecture and quaint cafés of this riverside town. The next day, you’ll join your guide for a walking tour, taking in the local market, the Provincial Museum and the Buddhist temple, before visiting the traditional Khmer houses of Vat Kor in the afternoon. You’ll also call in at Sampeau Temple, the Bat Cave, and awaken your taste buds on a street food tour.
3* Fern Resort
Your next stop is the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh, where your first call is a visit to the Khmer village of Silk Island to see how silk is made by hand. After a picnic lunch, you’ll visit the glittering Royal Palace with its golden roof and ornate Throne Hall, and later take a look around the moving Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, which tells the harrowing tale of life in Cambodia under the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Finish the day at the Art Deco style Central Market.
4* Iroha Garden Hotel
What better way to finish your Cambodian adventure than with a couple of days on the beach? You’ll have plenty of free time to relax on the sands of Sihanoukville, as well as taking a day trip to Ream National Park, showcasing the best of Sihanoukville’s countryside and including a gentle boat trip through the coastal mangroves. End the day with a stop on an endless stretch of bright white beach.
4* Naia Resort
Return to Phnom Penh and depart for the UK.
