At Sandy Lane, it’s always love at first sight – who could resist the decadent décor, the warm Bajan welcome, and that perfect crescent of powder-soft sand? Encompassing everything you could wish for from your Caribbean holiday – and much more – this family-friendly retreat is five-star indeed.
This is no average guest room: with tropical garden views, sumptuous interior design, and plenty of space to stretch out in, you’re in for a treat indeed. Festooned with beautiful blooms, the private terrace (which features a dining area and cosy sofa) is a glorious spot to retreat to – and you’ll love the deluxe double bathroom too.
Throw open your curtains, and you’ll be greeted with spectacular ocean views – what better wake-up call? Every inch of these suites is designed for a truly decadent stay: from the double bathroom with deep-soak tub, to the spacious terrace cooled by the fresh sea breeze.
Luxury Ocean Room
In these sensational suites you’ll enjoy all the fabulous fittings of the Ocean and Orchid rooms – plus an even bigger bathroom, separate vanity area, and huge sea-view balcony. The interior design, inspired by the resort’s tropical gardens, is utterly elegant too.
We don’t think the word ‘suite’ really does these residences justice: they’re utterly palatial, with stunning interior design. You’ll love the deluxe marble bathrooms and sumptuous soft furnishings – with a separate sitting area and two patios to pick from: one for dining, and one for sunbathing.
The Villa at Sandy Lane
If we could relocate permanently to one Barbados residence, it would be this one: a five-bedroom villa of epic proportions, with its own staff (including a butler and private chef), uninterrupted ocean views, and private swimming pool. This is a real taste of the high life – with Champagne on arrival, the use of a luxury car throughout your stay, and a $100 spa voucher for each guest – to name but a fabulous few perks.

Your little ones will love the Treehouse kids’ club, with its sports, games and arts and crafts sessions – as well as a daily supervised swim hour. It caters for children aged three and upwards, or younger if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Birthday and pool parties are available too, and we love the regular movie nights and themed dinners. Teens, meanwhile, will want to head to the Den: its games room, pool tables, TVs and video games are always a hit.
From light bites and salads, to seafood feasts and romantic suppers for two, Sandy Lane’s four restaurants have a menu for every occasion. L’Acajou twins Mediterranean flavours with the best of the island’s natural produce – think lemongrass-spiced tiger prawns, roasted suckling pig, and a crab and avocado cannelloni that’s as fresh as the sea breeze.
Ask our Flight Centre Concierge team about booking your restaurants in advance.
LIST OF RESTAURANTS:
- L’Acajou - French
- Bajan Blue - Caribbean
- Spa Cafe - Poolside light bites
- The Country Club - Light lunches and cocktails
Why we recommend Sandy Lane
Designed for the discerning traveller, this exquisite hotel offers an exceptional level of personalised service and real island charm. It’s great for couples, but the kids’ club and thoughtful amenities make it a family favourite too. While the beach is sublime, the restaurants top-notch, and the swimming pools utterly spectacular, the hotel spa deserves a special mention too – for its decadent treatments and beautiful white-marble interiors. Our top tip? Try the full-body Rose Hydrating Cocoon wrap for super-soft skin and soothed muscles. Golfers, meanwhile, will love the three (three!) nearby courses: The Old Nine, The Country Club and the world-famous Green Monkey – designed by greens superstar Tom Fazio.
