Fly from the UK to Darwin.
Days 3-7
Darwin
Welcome to Darwin! Get ready to explore this beautiful, laid-back territory. While here, take in the area’s history at the Fannie Bay Gaol and discover the wartime landmarks of Darwin Wharf Precinct. You’ll also get the chance to spend a day exploring the waterfalls, billabongs and Aboriginal culture of Kakadu National Park, as well as the natural beauty of Litchfield National Park and its monsoon rainforests, huge termite mounds and cascading waterfalls. Keep your eyes peeled for saltwater crocodiles and a wide range of colourful birdlife too.

Days 8-10
The Ghan Expedition
Today, you’ll climb aboard The Ghan Expedition train, ready for your three-night journey south to Adelaide. Sit back and relax, watching the vast sands and craggy rocks of the Red Centre pass by from the plush comfort of your Gold Service cabin, and indulge in the delicious meals and wines served in the onboard Queen Adelaide Restaurant.

Adelaide
Arrive into Adelaide – south Australia’s vibrant coastal capital – ready for your morning tour of Adelaide Central Market. Built in 1869, this is one of the largest produce-only markets in the southern hemisphere, touted as a second home to chefs and food lovers. You’ll get the chance to sample a number of food products as well as the local coffee, whilst meeting some of the friendly locals.

Day 12
Kangaroo Island
Today you’ll be heading to Kangaroo Island, an isolated wildlife sanctuary stretching for 96 miles and home to a plethora of plants and wildlife. Over the course of the day, you’ll explore Seal Bay, Little Sahara, the Parndana Wildlife Park, as well as the north-coast beaches and Lathami Conservation Park.

Day 13
Adelaide
On your second day on Kangaroo Island, you’ll visit Flinders Chase to meet some of the locals – we’re talking kangaroos, koalas, New Zealand fur seals, and many other native bird and animal species. Later, travel back to Adelaide and use your free time to discover more of the city. Stroll one of the many parks, laze on a stretch of white sandy beach, or indulge in one of the many cafés, pubs and eateries around Eat Street.

Depart Adelaide and return to the UK.
