Perth - Kalbarri
Kalbarri - Monkey Mia
Venture into Kalbarri National Park. Visit Red Bluff Lookout and view the spectacular scenery of Murchison River Gorge from the vantage point of Hawks Head Lookout. Visit Shell Beach, one of only two in the world, formed from billions of shells up to ten metres deep. Continue to the crystal blue waters and pristine sandy beaches of Monkey Mia.
Spend time on the beach this morning at Monkey Mia Reserve, nestled against the clear waters of Shark Bay Marine Park, where dolphins come into shore. These wild mammals of the ocean swim into the shallows to mingle with people. Feel the magic of interacting with these magnificent creatures; a truly unforgettable experience. (Note: as dolphins are wild their appearance cannot be guaranteed.) The remainder of the day is at leisure. Why not spend some time at the Monkey Mia Visitor Centre, which contains informative, interactive displays. At the Amphitheatre the ranger gives fascinating presentations. Ask your Tour Director for details on optional scenic flights and a cruise to see dugong and dolphins.
Monkey Mia - Geraldton
Travel to Hamelin Pool to see the world’s best known colony of stromatolites, dating back to the beginning of life on earth. Continue south along the North West Coastal Highway to Geraldton, in the heart of the Batavia Coast, renowned for its many shipwrecks where we visit the fascinating HMAS Sydney memorial.
