This isn’t your average hotel – but you’re not looking for an average holiday, are you? Set within an 800-year-old monastery, the Grand Hotel Convento is rich in history and luxurious experiences – such as sea-view dining, lavish spa treatments, and sunbathing beside the infinity pool. It’s just as glorious as it sounds.

Superior Room

Ideal for couples, this sea-view room features a king size bed, vanity area and marble bathroom with tub. As well as free Wi-Fi and fluffy bathrobes, you’ll have complimentary access to the gym and spa.

Deluxe Room

You can soak up the Amalfi Coast blues from this room’s private terrace, and enjoy sumptuous lie-ins on the king size bed. Long day? Run yourself a heavenly hot bath and relax with a minibar tipple or two. For families, an additional bed is available.

Junior Suite

This stylish retreat features a freestanding bathtub, sun-kissed balcony, and a hanging seat overlooking the coast. The décor is cool and contemporary, with billowing white curtains and high-thread-count linens – the perfect foil for those sparkling sea views.

Suite With View

This suite really lives up to its name: you can gaze out over the sea or Amalfi’s famous Cloister del Paradiso, all from the comfort of your private balcony. There’s also a deep-soak tub, a stylish lounge to stretch out in, and an oh-so comfortable king size bed.

Presidential Suite

Welcome to the fanciest suite in the house. The Presidential gets our vote for romantic getaways – who can resist its plush king size bed, or the extra-large sea-view balcony? The interior design feels utterly palatial, with soothing white walls and Moorish-style tilework.

From succulent seafood to flavoursome veggies, the Amalfi Coast is famed for its excellent local produce – which makes this resort ideal for foodies. Dei Cappuccini offers a refined menu of Mediterranean fare, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Its bar is open all day too, serving coffees and cocktails galore. Love seafood? Look to La Locanda for fresh grills and simple-yet-spectacular flavours. Needless to say, the wine list is superb.

Why we recommend NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi

This former monastery dates back to the 13th century, and combines original features with all the mod cons you could wish for. Free Wi-Fi, professional-quality hairdryers and fluffy bathrobes come as standard – and there are two secluded reading rooms to relax in. Our Travel Consultants love the handful of charming rooms and suites (which were once monks’ lodgings), each with stone archways and panoramic views of either the Cloister del Paradiso or the sea. The infinity pool boasts beautiful bay views too, with a breezy stone terrace and sunloungers – while the rooftop terrace is a spectacular spot for yoga. Head to the spa for massages, facials and a refreshing Turkish bath.
