So to celebrate the beauty of New Zealand, we’re giving one of our lucky Facebook fans the chance to experience the country for themselves! We want to give you the chance to capture the country on camera and get snappy happy in New Zealand with an incredible holiday for two people. The prize

Tour Overview

Day 1 Arrive into Christchurch

You will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free to explorer Christchurch.

Stay 1 night in Christchurch

Day 2: Christchurch – Mt Cook – Queenstown

Cross the Canterbury Plains, over Burkes Pass to the glacial lakes and into the Mount Cook National Park. Optional lunch at the Hermitage or perhaps a scenic flight.  Cross the spectacular Mackenzie Country bounded by the Southern Alps to the Lindis Pass. Pass the stone fruit growing area of Cromwell and through the Kawarau Gorge with its historic gold mines to Queenstown

Stay 3 nights in Queenstown.

Day 3 : Queenstown – Milford Sound – Queenstown

A full day taking in the wonders of Milford and Mitre Peak, while enjoying lunch aboard a cruise on the Sound, returning to Queenstown by evening.

Day 4: At Queenstown

Today is free for you to enjoy this fabulous resort – we have included the Skyline Gondola in your tour. There are dozens of optional activities from thrilling jet boat rides to leisurely lake cruises, 4WD safaris and bungy jumping.

Day 5: Queenstown – Glaciers

Travel to Cromwell and on through the Southern Lake district to the Haast Pass.  Travel north, through dense rain forest broken by rugged coastal vistas, towards the glaciers. A shuttle will take you to view one of these massive rivers of ice*.

Stay 1 night in Fox Glacier or Franz Josef townships.

*Due to short daylight hours, this may not be available over winter.

Day 6: Glaciers – Christchurch

Travel north past Hokitika, to Greymouth. Board the renowned TranzAlpine train and travel through the Otira Tunnel, over Arthurs Pass and across the Canterbury Plains, arriving in Christchurch early evening.

How to enter

We’re looking for budding photographers to show off their best scenery shots.

Whether it’s a sunset that makes the sky glow like a fire, a pretty countryside shot that is glittering with snow, a view across the landscape from your house, a picture of the mountains reflecting perfectly in a lake or perhaps a photograph from the top of a mountain you managed to conquer.

We’re looking for gorgeous landscapes and stunning scenery from anywhere in the world. It could have been taken on a professional DSLR, a point and shoot camera or on your camera phone.

All you need to do is ‘Like’ us on Facebook and submit your best scenic photo to win via our Facebook app. The competition opens on Monday August 5th and you can enter here.

You can upload a photo from your computer or you can select a picture that you already have uploaded to Facebook.

Who’s the judge?

We’re very pleased to announce that our competition judge will be award winning travel photographer Chris McLennan. Chris was born and raised in the South Island of New Zealand, but now spends his time travelling the globe on photographic assignments. He is creator of the app PhotoTorial – a tutorial app offering around 200 pages of images, information and articles designed to help aspiring photographers in their quest to become successful professionals.
