We want to hear about your most memorable travel moments from 2012 – comment on this post to share yours!
What a year it’s been! We’ve had an amazing time following the travels of our guest bloggers, Facebook fans and Twitter followers. Thank you to everyone who shared their travel stories with us – we’ve enjoyed every minute.
We’ve given away some pretty cool trips to some lucky competition winners – Teresa Curran is heading to Vietnam next month after winning a tour with Peregrine Adventures, Alison Campbell won a trip to Morocco with Intrepid Travel, and Tasha Jevdet took off on an epic outback adventure in Australia along with nine other lucky winners thanks to Kiss 100.
Richard Rudling won flights to Berlin with Lufthansa, Emily McMillan Mexican waved herself to Mexico, Victoria Cummings won a Contiki tour, and 10 knowledgeable travellers added £50 to their travel budgets after showing their Caribbean expertise in our Caribbean Quiz.
And those awful crapsnaps you inundated us with earlier this year! We were joined by a host of celebrity judges to whittle them down to the worst, including everyone’s favourite telly traveller, Simon Reeve, who kindly answered all your travel questions in our Twitter Q&A.
How could we forget Norman Price, who proudly took away the crown of Worst Travel Photographer 2012? We were in stitches following his entries – all 49 of them – and were rather pleased to discover how much his photography skills improved with the camera he won from Dixons Travel.
If you thought 2012 was fun, just you wait to see what we have in store to give away in 2013!
We’d like to wish you all a very happy holiday season – whether it’s full of travel adventures or at home – Merry Christmas! Here’s to another great year of travel in 2013.
Now we want to hear from YOU – comment on this post to tell us your most memorable travel moment of 2012. What will stay with you forever? Was it someone you met, a view you enjoyed or an incredible new experience? Tell us what stood out and we’ll share your stories with our readers in January.
