The Haymen Island resort is pure paradise, officially a six star hotel and attracts guests from all over the world.

You get a private yacht transfer from Hayman Island airport and you get champagne and food on board as they check you in. They take your luggage from you as soon as you clear the airport and you do not see it again until your room and you get the option to have it unpacked for you! The island is completely private and set in the crystal waters of the Great Barrier Reef...tropical paradise is the only words to describe it. The choice of rooms available is amazing, the penthouse is HUGE!!! You have a king size bed with a separate bathroom - fit for a king with a separate shower and bath that could fit 5 people in!!! The living room has a TV, DVD player etc. all the usual goodies and comfortable leather sofas and amazing views of the whole of the resort and islands!!

The private villa...again like the penthouse but ideal for honeymooners as it is kind of separate from the resort and you have your own private pool which is right on the beach with a fabulous dining area to watch the sunset.

The Retreat rooms are wooden little huts. Again, nice room and bathrooms have a private enclosed pool and outdoor shower set in luxury gardens.

Pool view rooms - has to be my favourite. The views look out onto an amazing pool and some of the rooms have direct pool access where you have a little ladder from your balcony direct into the pool!

Lagoon rooms - standard and cheapest out of the lot. Nice standard of room but you look out onto the lagoon and pool and in the heat that’s where the mosquitoes go so I personally would pay the upgrade!

Hayman island has about 3 pools, numerous restaurants including an oriental outdoor restaurant. The staff are fantastic and the island even has its own private school for the staffs families. Complete luxury...the hotel is amazing!!!!
