Top 5 places to Visit
Honolulu
A trip around the island is a must and with easy driving roads, hiring a car is the best option. There is plenty to see from the Arizona Memorial to Pearl Harbour and the incredible craters of Diamond Head to waterfalls and the fabulous beaches of the North shore where the waves will appeal to swimmers and surfers alike.
The largest island is Hawaii, but most people will begin their holiday on Oahu, home to the state capital Honolulu and the world famous Waikiki Beach. Waikiki is a holiday destination in its own right with its long beach of white sand, the bluest of seas and plenty of restaurants, bars and designer shops.
Nature's handiwork is perhaps the most impressive on this island. Huge volcanic mountains rise straight out of the stunning blue sea cloaked in lush green jungle and a wilderness of deserted beaches and jungle awaits. Even though this island is fairly untouched there are still a number of stunning resorts to stay in and plenty of activities to keep you amused including mountain trekking, golf, kayaking and scuba diving.
Maui is a honeymooner's paradise and is deemed one of the most romantic of all the Hawaiian Islands. Its lush tropical landscape, beautiful sunsets, resort hotels and one of Hawaii's best beaches, Ka'anapali make it ideal for couples.
Known also as the 'Big Island' because it's the largest of the Hawaiian Islands, it is in fact a very active volcano and the smouldering crater of Kilauea in the Volcanoes National Park shouldn’t be missed. The volcano has been erupting consistently for over ten years and a trip to the craters edge at Mauna Loa is a must. There are many great natural wonders to see, including the chance to see snow on the peak of Mauna Kea.
