Political Unrest in Egypt
Although no official travel restrictions are in place in or to Egypt, the situation remains volatile in places. We would advise anyone travelling to the country, or already there, to avoid demonstrations and check on the latest FCO advice as follows:
“You should avoid political gatherings and demonstrations and respect any advice or instruction from the local security authorities. We advise people in Cairo or other large cities to follow the news on TV and radio and not to go out in central Cairo or other areas where demonstrations are taking place.”
