Useful Information

British passport holders will need a visa in order to enter Australia. There are two kinds available: an eVisitor visa, for which there is no charge, and an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) from your travel agent or airline, for which there’s a service fee of A$20. eVisitor visas are available from the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection or from the Australian High Commission in London. For travel on non-British passports or for more information, please ask your consultant.

One thing that stands out when setting foot in Adelaide is the lush greenery that surrounds the central area. The city lives up to its reputation as Australia's garden city thanks to the meticulously manicured parklands that enclose the city centre, consisting of the Botanic Garden of Adelaide, Botanic Park, Rymill Park, Veale Gardens and Edwards Park, just to name a few. There are also several large and very green public squares in the city where city workers escape the hustle and bustle. An afternoon of exploring the many gardens of Adelaide is a must for any nature lover.

Adelaide is Australia's premier destination for wine tourism, with Clare Valley, Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale all within two hours' drive of the city and perfect for a day trip. The South Australian capital is a beach city as well, offering plenty of seaside options including the cool cafes along Glenelg Beach, a few miles to the south of the city centre, as well as a range of water sports.Adelaide: SkylineAdelaide Convention Centre
