New web site set to boost recruitment levels

Flight Centre UK, one of the fastest growing travel retailers in the UK, has begun its new year recruitment drive with the launch of a web site dedicated to recruitment. The company, which launched in the UK in 1995, currently has more than 80 retail travel stores and plans to open up to 30 more this year. The company employs around 450 people and is looking at recruiting up to 250 people this year, for roles such as travel consultant, accountants and recruitment. The new web site is designed to be an information site for future employees and to be used as a tool prior to application, to help people decide if the company structure and culture would suit them, said Lin Hilditch, manager of Peopleworks, Flight Centre's in-house recruitment and training division. "We want to ensure we get the right people and believe it is important that prospective employees can get a good feel for the culture of the organization and what it would be like to work for us before applying. "We are going through a rapid expansion period so have a lot of new positions to fill. The site is an easy way for people to find information and read about some of the benefits we offer, such as a free financial advice service and a free health scheme." The web site at www.therecruitmentcentre.com is updated daily and provides detailed job descriptions for available current positions. Users can search the jobs database for an appropriate opportunity and read about the company benefits and the long-term career opportunities with the company. It is easy to navigate and it provides plenty of background information as well as biographies on current members of the team.
